We’re pleased to announce that 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗹 (AMPL) and 𝗧𝗲́𝗰𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘀 have recently signed an agreement to develop an integrated methanol and blue ammonia plant in Western Australia.

𝗧𝗲́𝗰𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘀 will develop the front-end engineering design (FEED) of the project once the funding approvals are finalized. The proposed plant configuration will enable carbon emissions to be reduced by half compared to traditional technologies.

The signing marks a pivotal step in this project, providing Australia with its first large-scale Methanol Production facility. The facility will be located in the Northern Territory, Australia.

The current design sees the facility producing 1,350 MTPD of Methanol Grade AA and 415 MTPD of Blue Ammonia.

The completion of this design will ensure Allied Methanol’s Project continues through to complete project execution. This landmark project will provide significant employment opportunities to the region and create a locally available energy source while reducing carbon emissions for Australia.
